Unstuck: A Social Design Conversation

Employment, food insecurity, and unequal access to basic healthcare: these issues and many more are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Although a virus isn't the cause, it certainly is a spotlight!

In order to face these problems and other issues of systemic inequality, we need Social Design to be the approach, toolbox and lens that addresses these dynamic and persistent realities.

With Social Design, we can innovate better!

Social Design is the application of design methodologies to tackle complex human issues, placing the social dynamics as the priority. So, let's talk about it! We've brought together some of our closest friends to help shift the conversation from symptoms to disease, external to internal, and from quick fix to root cause.

You'll hear from our panelists and friends:

  • Dr. Ebony Hilton, Founder and Medical Director of GOODSTOCK Consulting

  • Kevin McDonald, Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at University of Virginia

  • Sarad Davenport, Content Manager / Digital Strategist, Vinegar Hill Magazine

  • Jordy Yager, Journalist

  • Jennifer Jacobs, Executive Director, Albemarle Housing Improvement

New methods, ideas, and strategies (innovations) are needed. Be both inspired with new thinking and empowered with even greater action from Unstuck: A Social Design Conversation.
